Algebraic Formula

In this chapter we are learn about algebraic formula. Many algebraic formulas we are using in math. Algebraic formula using two or three different variables. In this lesson we'll learn more. In this chapter covers algebraic formula reference sheet has the following algebraic formulas with operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and also has some properties like associative, commutative, and distributive properties....

Looking out for more help on Cone Formula in algebra by visiting listed websites.

List of algebraic formula

1. Pythagorean Theorem: a² + b² = c²

2. Commutative property

Addition: a + b = b + a

Multiplication: a × b = b × a

3. Associative property

Addition: (a + b) + c = a + (b + c)

Multiplication: (a × b) × c = a × (b × c)

4. Identity property

Addition: a + 0 = a

Multiplication: a × 1 = a

5. Inverse property

Addition: a + (-a) = 0

Multiplication: `a*(1/a)`  = 1

6. Distributive property: a (b + c) = ab + ac

7. Equality property:

Reflexive property: a = a

Symmetric property: if a = b, then b = a

Transitive property: a, b, and c, if a = b, b = c, a = c

Substitution: If a = b, then a is plugged by b

Addition and subtraction: If a = b so, a + c = b + c, and a – c = b – c

Multiplication and division: If a = b so, a × b = b × c, and c nonzero, then `a/c`  =`b/c`

8. Absolute value: a > = 0, so |a| = a; a < 0, so |a| = -a

9. Negative exponents: a–n = `1/a^n`

10. Sum and product of roots: If the roots of ax² + bx + c = 0, with a not equal to 0, are s1 and s2, then s1 + s2 = –`b/a` and s1 x s2 = c/a.

11. Quadratic Formula:`((-b+-sqrt(b^2-4*a*c))/(2*a))`

12. The remainder theorem: dividend = quotient x divisor + remainder.

13. Property of inverse functions: f and f-1 are inverse functions. Then f(a) = b if and only if f--1(b) = a.

14. Inverse variation: y is vary inversely as x constant k is nonzero such that xy = k or y = `k/x` .

My forthcoming post is on adding and subtracting rational expressions with unlike denominators and ap pollution control board will give you more understanding about Algebra.

List of geometry algebraic formula:

1. Slope: If two points, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are given, the slope is equal to y2 – y1 / x2 – x1

2. Standard form of an equation: Ax + By = C

3. Slope-intercept form of an equation: y = mx + b

4. Point-slope form of an equation: y – y1 = m(x – x1), where (x1, y1) is a point on the line, and m is the slope.

5. Value of a determinant: | a b | = ad – bc

6. Cramer’s rule: ax + by = e

7. Distance formula: d = the square root of (x2 – x1)² + (y2 – y1)²

8. Midpoint formula: [(x2 + x1) ÷ 2], [(y2 + y1) ÷ 2]

List logarithmic algebraic formula:

1. Product property of logarithms: log b`(m*n)` = log b n + log b m.

2. Quotient property of logarithms: log b `m/n`  = log b m – log b n.

3. Power property of logarithms: log b mP = p * log b m.

4. Change of base formula: log a n = (log b n)/(log b a).
