Solve Coefficient of Congruence

The congruence coefficient is determined of the parallel between configurations than the correlation coefficient of the distance.

c(A, B) = (sum_(i

(or)

rcongruence =  (sum (ab)) / sqrt(( sum a^2 )( sum b^2 ))

Where dij(A) is the distance between the points i and j in configuration A and wij are nonnegative weights (default: wij = 1).

Solve Coefficient of Congruence - Examples:
Solve coefficient of congruence - Example 1:

Here we use an example from Wipro and Tata. Two IT experts are rating 4 Software’s on 4 different scales, the result of their ratings is provided in the two Values below denoted A and B:

If A’s are the 5, 6, 7, 8 and B’s are the 5, 32, 55, and 23. Find the coefficient of congruence

Solution:

Step 1:

Formula for congruence coefficient

congruence = (sum (ab)) / sqrt(( sum a^2 )( sum b^2 ))

Step 3:

From the following table:

We get sum(ab)  = 786

sum(a^2)  = 174

sum(b^2) = 4603

Step 4:

Find the square root of a^2 and  b^2 Then we find the congruence coefficient.

sqrt(a^2) * sqrt(b^2)  = 894.942

Therefore congruence coefficients of the given data’s are

rcongruence = (sum (ab)) / sqrt(( sum a^2 )( sum b^2 ))

= 786 / 894.942

= 0.87827

Solve coefficient of congruence - Example 1:

Here we use an example from office bases and home bases. Two experts are rating 4 works on 4 different scales, the result of their ratings is provided in the two Values below denoted A and B:

If A’s are the 12, 25, 33, 65 and B’s are the 36, 65, 25 and 11. Find the coefficient of congruence

Solution:

Step 1:

Formula for congruence coefficient

"R_(congruence)" =(sum (ab)) / sqrt(( sum a^2 )( sum b^2 ))

Step 3:

From the following table:

We get sum(ab) = 3597

sum(a^2) = 6083

sum(b^2)  = 6267

Step 4:

Find the square root of a^2 and b^2 Then we find the congruence coefficient.

 sqrt(a^2) * sqrt(b^2)  = 6174.31

Therefore congruence coefficients of the given data’s are

rcongruence = (sum (ab)) / sqrt(( sum a^2 )( sum b^2 ))

= 3597/ 6174.31

= 0.58257
